BTEC Sport

Course Information

BTEC Level 3 Sport is a one year course. Covering four units: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport, The Physiology of Fitness, Assessing Risk in Sport and Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise.

There is theory based assignments, with elements of practical assessments. The assessment for this course is assignment based with no exams.

Career Pathway

Students who take this course go onto to careers such as physiotherapy, sports coaching, leisure management, teaching, sports nutrition, armed forces, police, personal trainer, medicine, coaching, sports analysis, and sports psychology.
